UNESCO has designated judo as the most suitable sport for children. Experts consider it the most suitable for training children and youth aged 4 to 21.
Its benefits are numerous.
Practicing judo regularly develops strength, speed, flexibility, coordination, reflexes, concentration, balance, endurance, individuality, self-confidence, knowledge of one's own body, and discipline in children.
Due to the different and dynamic situations, in the practice of judo the child is forced to stimulate his "tactical thinking".
Judo is suitable for boys and girls. It does not encourage aggression, through relationships with peers the child learns to cooperate, respect and develop himself. Judo is practiced without kicking or hitting, which is safer for children when they start training martial arts.
Although it is a martial art, judo transmits culture, traditions, respect, discipline, emotional balance, and introduces many other values into children's daily habits.
In addition, judo is an Olympic sport. It is a sport whose practice is recognized by UNESCO as the most recommended for children over 4 years old.
