Excellent for Shun Judo at the DLP Men/Women

On the first day of the Men's/Women's DLS, the competitors of Shun Judo Club made a very strong impression with their excellent performance.

In the 60kg category, Rustislav Dobrev played 3 matches, but this was not enough for him to go to the final part, where the medals were awarded.

In the 66kg and 73kg categories, our team dominated in terms of presence and quality play!

Extremely interesting matches were made by our three young participants in the category up to 66kg, who found their place in the team after a preliminary internal fight, as the competition in the team is very high . Boyan Yotov had a very tough match with a 6-minute golden score, against the recently returned from a 4-year ban Denislav Ivanov. He was very close to moving on. Another of our young representatives in the same category was Alen Hristov , who made strong fights and had his chance to move on. Viktor Skerlev was our third representative from the young generation, who reached the final block and is fighting for 3rd place, and his strongest performance was against the two-time Vice-European Champion Yanislav Gerchev.

All three of our young competitors made a firm request to be considered by the favorites for future competitions.

Our strongest representative in this category , Dimitar Stoyanov, who is a playing coach, won a bronze medal , despite the lack of sufficiently focused competition preparation.

The culmination of Saturday was in the 73kg category, where we were again represented by the maximum number of participants allowed.

Here, Samuil Ananiev made a strong impression, being only 15 years old, but with qualities and talent that give him the confidence to look forward boldly.

Our other young representative , Dimitar Gospodinov, deservedly won the bronze medal.

The most interesting was the final match between our two representatives Yavor Mihaylov and Mark Hristov. Friends in life and rivals on the tatami, both made an exceptional final full of elegant and quality fighting. Shortly before the end of the match, Mark Hristov still managed to get a score and win the match.

So we had 3 representatives on the podium, out of a possible 4 places. Something that is not often seen in any sport, but rather an exception!

Our only female representative in this competition, Yoana Manova , was the absolute favorite in her category. She had several opportunities to finish the final match with Lidiya Brancheva, but at the very end of the match, a little carelessness took away the gold from her and for now she has to settle for the silver medal .

On the second day of the competition, Mario Budev represented our team in the 81kg category. Despite being absent from the training process for a long time, he contributed greatly to the team's strong performance.

Excellent for the team!
